ANNOUNCEMENTS The Kentucky Golf Economic Impact Study has been completed, and details can be reviewed by clicking
http://www.golf2020.com/economicresearch.aspx. A few key figures to consider from the survey.....In 2009, Kentucky's golf
industry generated a total economic impact of $710.4 million, supporting 11,000 jobs with $218.7 million of wage income. This
study was funded through a joint effort by the World Golf Foundation, Kentucky Section PGA, Kentucky Golf Association,
and Kentucky Golf Foundation. A formal ceremony to unveil the study will be conducted in conjunction with the upcoming
Senior PGA Championship. The date and location for the ceremony will be announced at a later date. The Kentucky Golf Association is pleased to announce an opportunity for its member clubs to secure discounted pricing on the
USGA Green Section's Turf Advisory Service. This offer, which is available through May 13, entitles facilities to receive full-
day or half-day visits from USGA Green Section staff at substantial savings. The service includes a written follow-up report to
the facility from the USGA Green Section. Recommendations from the USGA Green Section are specific for the course visited,
and value satisfaction is guaranteed. Please note this service is available only to Kentucky Golf Association member clubs. This
marks the fourth consecutive year for this program, and the Kentucky Golf Association thanks the USGA for its continued
support. For more information, visit
